Advantech’s IPPC-5211WS features a 21.5” display offering high definition, thin-film transistor, LED backlighting, and LCD technology to its users.  The IPPC-5211WS is a widescreen model with a 16:9 ratio and a fully flat glass front panel with 7H hardness and equipped with projected capacitive touch (PCAP) technology for a multi-touch experience and an easier user input mechanism.  The unit supports Advantech’s iDoor technology for expansion made easy, or the option for a wireless antenna – making this a great candidate for a remote access terminal in the field, or on-site.  The unit can also be mounted using a VESA mount, extending its practicality in almost any environment.
The IPPC-5211WS offers a wide variety of I/O features including: (1) 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port, (1) RS-232 port, (1) RS-232/485/422 port (software programmable), (1) USB 2.0 and (1) USB 3.0 port, as well as, up to 8GB of DDR3L SO-DIMM RAM.  The system also features (1) 2.5” SATA slot and the option for (1) CFast slot.  Furthermore, the IPPC-5211WS is equipped with an Intel Celeron J1900 Processor.  The Intel Celeron J1900 is part of the Bay Trail family and supports a 2MB L2 cache, running 4 cores with 4 threads and operating at a base frequency of 2 GHz, or a burst frequency of 2.42 GHz.
The IPPC-5211WS is housed in a stainless steel chassis that is IP69K approved, making it resistant to dust, high temperature steam and high pressure water.  The user has the option of equipping the unit with a full IP69K rating, both back and front bezel – or just one side of the system.  The IPPC-5211WS is specifically designed for operations in hygienic or harsh environments – especially where dust, condensation, and/or water are common environmental occurrences.  A passive heat sync mounted on the back of this unit will ensure its users get the highest potential performance from the IPPC-5211WS while remaining free of moving parts – reducing the worry for remote devices.
