How to Wire a 1000-Watt Power Supply

This guide covers the wiring of a 1000W power supply.

Step 1

Remove the plastic cover, unscrew the terminals, and insert the half-moon end of the black wires into the V- terminals and red wires into the V+ terminals. Then replace the plastic cover.

Step 2

Insert the Phoenix connectors into the unit.

Step 3

Insert the straight end of the black and red leads into the Phoenix connectors. The black leads can go into any of the four terminals labeled GND, and the red leads can only go into the three terminals labeled V+, the fourth terminal on the Phoenix connector is for ignition. Lastly, screw the terminals down to lock the cables into the Phoenix connectors.
