With a 2.5" SATA HDD, the operating temperature range is 0 ~ 50 °C (32 ~ 122 °F). With mSATA or a 2.5" SSD, the operating temperature range extends to -20 ~ 60 °C (-4 ~ 140 °F). Storage temperature is -40 ~ 60 °C (-40 ~ 140 °F), and relative humidity is 10 ~ 95% at 40 °C (non-condensing).
The PPC-3150 has EMC certifications of BSMI, CE, and FCC Class A, and safety certifications of CB, CCC, BSMI, and UL. The front panel is IP65 compliant. It also meets IEC 60068-2-27 (shock) and IEC 60068-2-64 (vibration) standards.

The PPC-3150 provides one PCI (standard) or one PCIe x1 expansion slot (selectable via riser card), plus a full-size mini PCIe slot for other expansion options such as a Wi-Fi module. The PCI or PCIe card installed must not exceed 176 mm in length and 107 mm in width.
How-to Guides
- Before connecting the power cable, verify the system's power mode setting (AT or ATX) matches your requirements. Flip the AT/ATX switch to AT mode if needed (default is ATX mode).
- Connect the 2-pin male connector of the power cable (provided in the accessory box) to the DC power socket (9 ~ 32 VDC).
- Use the power button located on the bottom right of the panel PC to power the unit on.
- Remove the 11 screws and four plugs from the rear cover to take off the rear cover.
- Remove the eight screws on the heatsink and remove the heatsink.
- Insert the memory card into the memory slot.
- Place the thermal pad (provided in the accessory box) directly on top of the memory card and CPU, then replace the heatsink.
- Remove the rear cover (see memory card installation, Step 1).
- Remove the four screws on the VESA mount plate and remove the plate.
- Remove the four screws on the HDD cover and remove it.
- Affix the HDD to the HDD bracket using four screws from the accessory box, then connect the HDD data cable to the HDD.
- Replace the HDD bracket, secure it in place, and connect the other end of the HDD data cable to the mainboard.
- Remove the rear cover and VESA mount plate as described in the HDD installation steps.
- For a full-size mini SATA card: insert the card into the mainboard slot and secure it with two M2.5x4 screws, then place the thermal pad on top of the card.
- For a half-size mini SATA card: insert the card into the mainboard slot and secure it with a copper cylinder screw, then place the thermal pad on top of the card.
- Replace the VESA mount plate and rear cover, securing them with screws.
- Power on the system and press <Del> to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
- Click on Super IO Configuration in the Advanced tab.
- Click on Serial Port 3 Configuration to open the submenu.
- Select COM Port Mode to set the COM3 operation mode (RS422 or RS485).
- To enable RS-485 termination, set the COM3 Terminal option to Enabled in the same submenu.
- Press <F4> to save and exit; otherwise the settings will not be saved.
