The Nuvo-8000 accepts 8~35VDC input through a 3-pin pluggable terminal block.
The Nuvo-8000 operates from -25°C to 60°C and can be stored from -40°C to 85°C. Humidity tolerance is 10%~90%, non-condensing. It is rated for operating vibration per MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 Category 4, and operating shock per MIL-STD-810G Method 516.6, Procedure I, Table 516.6-II. It carries CE/FCC Class A EMC certification according to EN55032 & EN55035.
The system supports up to 32 GB of DDR4 2666 SDRAM in one SODIMM slot. For storage, it has 2x internal SATA ports for 2.5" HDD/SSD installation and 1x full-size mSATA socket (muxed with USB 2.0 signals).
The Nuvo-8000 series supports Intel® 9th/8th-Gen Core™ CPUs in the LGA1151 socket, including Core™ i7-9700TE/i7-8700*/i7-8700T, Core™ i5-9500TE/i5-8500*/i5-8500T, Core™ i3-9100TE/i3-8100*/i3-8100T, Pentium® G5400T (4M Cache, 3.1GHz, 35W TDP), and Celeron® G4900T (2M Cache, 2.9GHz, 35W TDP). Note: due to thermal limitations, 65W CPUs are configured to operate in 35W mode by default.
The four models differ in expansion slot configuration:
- Nuvo-8003: 3x PCIe expansion slots (1x PCIe x16, 1x PCIe x8, 1x PCIe x4), no PCI slots
- Nuvo-8023: 3x PCIe (1x x16, 2x x4) and 2x PCI slots
- Nuvo-8032: 2x PCIe (1x x16, 1x x8) and 3x PCI slots
- Nuvo-8041: 1x PCIe (x16) and 4x PCI slots
The Nuvo-8003 has a smaller chassis (154 mm W) while the Nuvo-8023/8032/8041 share a larger chassis (185 mm W); both are 235 mm (D) x 174 mm (H). The Nuvo-8003 weighs 3 Kg and the others weigh 3.6 Kg.
Wall-mounting is standard. DIN-rail mounting and rack-mounting are available as optional configurations.
Yes. In addition to the integrated Intel® UHD Graphics 630, the system can support an independent 125W NVIDIA® GPU installed via the x16 PEG port.
How-to Guides
- Confirm your power source is within the supported 8~35VDC input range.
- Connect the power leads to the 3-pin pluggable terminal block located on the front panel.
- Optionally, use one of the listed AC/DC power adapters (PA-120W-OW, PA-160W-OW, or PA-280W-ET2) with cord-end terminals designed for the terminal block.
- For standard installation, use the wall-mount configuration the unit ships with.
- For DIN-rail installation, use the optional DIN-Rail mounting kit.
- For rack installation, use the optional Rmkit-Nuvo6000 rack mounting assembly (compatible with Nuvo-6000/8000 series).
- Install up to two 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD drives using the two internal SATA ports.
- Optionally install a storage device in the full-size mSATA socket, noting that it is muxed with USB 2.0 signals.

There are four models in the Nuvo-8000 series with various expansion configurations. Customers can choose from a compact 3-slot PCIe system to a 5-slot system with up to three PCIe slots or up to four PCI slots, that best suit their industrial automation or machine vision application needs. It features front-accessible I/Os including two GbE, four USB 3.1 Gen1 and five COM ports that make it easier to access when it is rack-mounted or placed inside a cabinet. Storage wise, Nuvo-8000 series systems have two 2.5” SATA SSD/ HDD and one mSATA socket to support various storage devices. The system can also support a 125W NVIDIA® GPU to offer TFLOPS computing power for modern deep-learning applications.
