The operating temperature (with industrial SSD) is -40 to 70 °C, and the non-operating range is -40 to 85 °C. Humidity range is 5% to 95% at 40 °C (non-condensing).

Memory: onboard 8GB or 16GB DDR4 2133MHz, plus 1 x SODIMM slot, with a maximum system capacity of up to 32GB.
Storage: the default configuration uses an ITA-EM-ST61-00A1E easy-swap module supporting 2 x 7mm 2.5" SSDs. The system supports up to 3 x 2.5" SSD (2 of 7mm and 1 of 7mm/9.5mm). There is also 1 x mSATA slot onboard.
Expansion: 3 x Mini PCIe sockets (full size) and 2 x SIM slots.
The datasheet lists 2 x SIM slots and 3 x Mini PCIe sockets (full size) for expansion. Optional adapters are available, including a miniPCIe-to-M.2 B key adapter for 5G modules (3042/3052) and M.2 (NGFF) to Mini PCIe Key-E/Key-A adapters (one option is listed for WIFI6). Note: the product has no RED Certification.
Dimensions are 220 x 88 x 197.2 mm (8.66" x 3.46" x 7.76"), or 256 x 93.5 x 197.2 mm (10.0" x 3.68" x 7.76") with mounting kits installed. The unit is installed via wall-mount using a mounting bracket.
SKUs differ primarily by processor, input voltage, and onboard memory. Processor options are the Intel Core i7-6822EQ, i5-6442EQ, or Celeron G3902E. Input voltage options are 24VDC, 48VDC, 72VDC, or 110VDC. Most SKUs ship with 8GB onboard memory, but the ITA-5831-L7A2 and ITA-5831-S7A2 (both i7-6822EQ, 24VDC and 110VDC respectively) ship with 16GB. All SKUs otherwise share the same I/O configuration: 3 Mini PCIe, 1 mSATA slot, 2 USB3.0, up to 3 M12 X-coded Ethernet, up to 3 x 2.5" SSD support, 4DI/4DO digital I/O, and DVI-I display.
Three CPU options are available:
- Intel Core i7-6822EQ: 2.0/2.8 GHz base/turbo, 8M L3 cache, 4 cores/8 threads
- Intel Core i5-6442EQ: 1.9/2.7 GHz base/turbo, 6M L3 cache, 4 cores/4 threads
- Intel Celeron G3902E: 1.6 GHz (no turbo), 2M L3 cache, 2 cores/2 threads
All use the QM170 chipset. Note that the ITA58311905-T system variant supports a maximum turbo frequency of 2.8GHz single-core and 2.5GHz multi-core.
How-to Guides
- Locate the ITA-EM Storage Module bay on the front or rear of the unit (marked ITA-EM Module in the dimension diagrams).
- The default module is ITA-EM-ST61-00A1E, which holds 2 x 7mm 2.5" SSDs. Alternatively, the optional ITA-EM-ST61-10A1E single easy-swap tray supports 1 x 2.5" SSD (7mm/9.5mm).
- Remove the existing storage tray/module from its slot.
- Insert the replacement 2.5" SSD(s) into the tray according to the module's supported configuration (up to 3 x 2.5" SSD total: 2 of 7mm and 1 of 7mm/9.5mm).
- Slide the tray back into the ITA-EM Module bay until seated.
- Confirm the input voltage rating of your specific SKU (24VDC, 48VDC, 72VDC, or 110VDC, compliant with EN 50155 class S2/C1).
- Use the M12 S-coded (M) 4-pin power connector on the unit.
- If terminal-block wiring is required, use the optional FRU-ITAPWR-0001 external power cable, which converts M12 S-code to a 2-pin terminal block.
- Connect the power source to the appropriate polarity terminals on the cable/terminal block.
- Power on the unit using the power on/off switch.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the chassis according to the mounting kit provided.
- Note that with the mounting kit installed, overall dimensions become 256 x 93.5 x 197.2 mm (10.0" x 3.68" x 7.76").
- Secure the bracket to the wall or vehicle mounting surface using appropriate fasteners for the application.
- Ensure the unit is oriented to allow access to front connectors (Audio, DVI-I, DIO, COM, USB) and rear connectors (USB Type A, LAN X-coded, DC-IN S-coded).
- For USB Type A devices, use the optional FRU-ITAUSB-0001 external USB cable (M12 A-code to USB Type A, 10cm).
- For Ethernet/LAN, use the optional FRU-ITALAN-0003 external LAN cable (M12 X-code to RJ45, 10cm).
- For dual display output, use the optional FRU-ITADISPLAY-0001 Y cable (DVI 29P(M) to DVI 29P(F) + D-SUB 15P(F), 18cm) to split the DVI-I port into DVI-D and VGA.
- For audio testing, use the optional FRU-ITAAUD-0001 cable (D-SUB 9P(M) to JACK, 20cm).
- Connect each cable to its corresponding M12/DB9 port on the unit as labeled in the front/rear panel diagrams.
