The MIC-7700 accepts 9 ~ 36 VDC input power. It uses an ATX/AT power type and includes a watchdog timer with a programmable interval of 1 ~ 255 seconds/minutes and a system reset output.
Operating temperature depends on CPU TDP: with a 65W CPU and industrial SSD, the range is -10 ~ 40 °C; with a 35W CPU and industrial SSD, the range is -10 ~ 50 °C. Non-operating storage temperature is -40 ~ 85 °C. Humidity tolerance is 95% at 40 °C (non-condensing).
Certifications include CE/FCC Class A, CCC, and BSMI for EMC, and UL, CCC, and BSMI for safety.
The MIC-7700 supports 6th/7th Generation Intel Core i CPUs in an LGA1151 socket, including the i7-6700TE, i5-6500TE, i3-6100TE, G4400TE (35W TDP, -10 ~ 50 °C operating range), and i5-7500, i3-7101E, i5-6500, i3-6100 (65W TDP, -10 ~ 40 °C operating range). The chipset is Intel Q170 or H110 depending on model.
Memory: dual-channel DDR4 2133 MHz (without ECC) using 2 x 260-pin DDR4 SODIMM sockets, up to 16 GB per socket, for a maximum capacity of 32 GB.
Storage: 1 x 2.5" HDD bay, 1 x CFast slot, and 1 x mSATA. RAID 0/1/5/10 is supported only on the MIC-7700Q model.
Advantech offers embedded WES7P (Windows Embedded Standard 7P) images for both variants: one for the MIC-7700H (64-bit) and one for the MIC-7700Q (64-bit).
The MIC-7700 measures 78 x 192 x 230 mm (3.07" x 7.55" x 9.05") and weighs 2.8 kg (6.17 lbs). It supports desktop or wall mount installation.
The MIC-7700Q uses the Q170 chipset and supports 8 x USB 3.0 with no USB 2.0 ports, Intel HD Graphics 530, 3 independent displays, and RAID 0/1/5/10. It also supports the MIC-75M40 and MIC-75M20-01 i-Modules.
The MIC-7700H uses the H110 chipset with 4 x USB 3.0 and 4 x USB 2.0, Intel HD Graphics 510, 2 independent displays, and does not support the MIC-75M40 or MIC-75M20-01 expansion i-Modules.
Yes. The MIC-7700 supports Advantech i-Modules (iDoor modules, both MOS and PCM series, excluding the PoE model), including expansion chassis such as MIC-75M40, MIC-75M13, MIC-75M20, MIC-75M20-01, MIC-75M11, MIC-75M10, and MIC-75S20, which add PCIe/PCI slots and, in some cases, additional hot-swappable HDD bays. Note that the MIC-7700H does not support the MIC-75M40 or MIC-75M20-01 modules, and the PCM series module requires a separately ordered bracket (P/N: 1960065854N001).
How-to Guides
- Confirm the input voltage is within the supported 9 ~ 36 VDC range.
- Use the included 4-pin Phoenix power connector (P/N: 1652003234) to wire the DC input to the system's power terminal.
- If using an AC power source, use one of the optional adaptors (e.g., 96PSA-A220W24P4-1 or 96PSA-A150W19P4-1) with an appropriate power cord for your region (USA, PSE, or EU cord options are available).
- Select the appropriate i-Module for your needs (e.g., MIC-75M40 for 4 PCIe slots, MIC-75M20 for 2 PCIe slots, MIC-75S20 for expansion with hot-swappable HDD bays).
- Verify compatibility with your MIC-7700 chipset: note that MIC-7700H does not support MIC-75M40 or MIC-75M20-01.
- Attach the module's fan if using expansion cards with more than 45W power consumption, as thermal management is required for higher-power cards.
- If installing a PCM-series iDoor module, order and attach the required bracket (P/N: 1960065854N001) separately, as it is not included.
- Use the included SATA cable (P/N: 1700013095) and SATA power cable (P/N: 1700024372-01) to connect a 2.5" HDD to the system's internal HDD bay.
- Insert a CFast card into the CFast slot as shown in the front panel layout.
- Insert an mSATA card into the mini PCIe/mSATA expansion slot (labeled accordingly on Q170 or H110 configurations).
- The MIC-7700 supports desktop or wall mount installation.
- For wall mounting, attach the 2 included mounting brackets (P/N: 1960070543T001) to the chassis using the mounting points shown in the front and side view diagrams.
- Secure the unit to the wall surface using appropriate hardware for the bracket mounting holes.
