What processors does the Nuvo-11160GC support?

The Nuvo-11160GC supports Intel® Core™ Ultra 200 series processors in the LGA1851 socket, with 35W and 65W TDP options. Supported models include Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285/285T, Core™ Ultra 7 265/265T, and Core™ Ultra 5 245/245T. The chipset is the Intel® Q870E Platform Controller Hub, and the system includes an integrated Neural Processing Unit and integrated Intel Xe LPG Graphics.

Can the Nuvo-11160GC run a discrete GPU?

Yes. The system has a PCIe x16 slot (Gen4, 16-lane) in a cassette designed for installing an NVIDIA® RTX series GPU card up to 150W. Maximum supported graphics card dimensions are 178 mm (L) x 128 mm (W), and the slot uses dual slot allocation.

What network ports are available?

The Nuvo-11160GC provides 5x 2.5GbE ports (Intel I226-IT) and 1x 1GbE port (Intel I219-LM) with screw-lock connectors. An optional 10GBASE-T Ethernet port is also available. Ports 3 through 6 support optional IEEE 802.3at PoE+ with a 100W total power budget on PoE-enabled models.

What are the power input requirements?

Power is supplied through a 3-pin pluggable terminal block accepting 8 to 48V DC input, rated at 20A. There is also a 10-pin (2x5) wafer connector for remote on/off control and status LED output.

What is the operating temperature range?

With a 35W CPU and 150W GPU, the operating temperature range is -25°C to 60°C. With a 65W CPU and 150W GPU, the range is -25°C to 60°C when configured as 35W TDP, or -25°C to 50°C when configured as 65W TDP. Storage temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Note: for sub-zero operating temperatures, a wide temperature HDD/SSD/NVMe is required.

What storage and memory options are supported?

The system supports up to 128 GB DDR5 6400 SDRAM across two SODIMM slots. For storage, it has 2x internal SATA ports for 2.5" HDD/SSD installation (supporting RAID 0/1) and 1x M.2 2280 M-key NVMe socket (PCIe Gen5x4) for an NVMe SSD.

What USB and serial ports are available?

The Nuvo-11160GC has 8x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports plus 1x internal USB 2.0 port with Type-A connector. Serial connectivity includes 2x software-programmable RS-232/422/485 ports (COM1/COM2) and 2x 3-wire RS-232 ports (COM3/COM4).

What is the difference between the Nuvo-11160GC SKUs?

There are three models in the series: the base Nuvo-11160GC; the Nuvo-11160GC-PoE, which adds the option of 802.3at PoE+ PSE for 2.5GbE ports 3 to 6; and the Nuvo-11160GC-PoE-10G, which adds both the 10GbE port and the same PoE+ option on ports 3 to 6.

How-to Guides

Install a GPU Card
  1. Confirm the GPU card fits within the maximum supported dimensions of 178 mm (L) x 128 mm (W) and does not exceed 150W power draw.
  2. Install the GPU into the PCIe x16 (Gen4, 16-lane) slot located in the cassette design of the chassis.
  3. Allocate the dual slot space required for the card as specified.
  4. Optionally use the AccsyBx-Cardholder-11160GC GPU bracket kit for selected GPUs to secure the card; contact Neousys for compatible bracket details.
Install Storage (SATA and M.2 NVMe)
  1. For 2.5" HDD/SSD storage, use one of the 2x internal SATA ports; these support RAID 0/1 configuration if two drives are installed.
  2. For NVMe storage, install a compatible NVMe SSD into the 1x M.2 2280 M-key socket (PCIe Gen5x4).
  3. If deploying the unit in sub-zero operating temperatures, ensure a wide temperature-rated HDD/SSD/NVMe drive is used.
Wire the DC Power Input
  1. Locate the 3-pin pluggable terminal block on the unit for DC power input.
  2. Connect a DC power source rated between 8 and 48V, ensuring the supply can provide up to the rated 20A.
  3. Optionally, use the remote on/off control and status LED output via the 10-pin (2x5) wafer connector for remote power management.
Expand I/O with a MezIO® Module
  1. Select the appropriate MezIO® module for the needed function, e.g. MezIO®-U4 for additional USB 3.1 ports, MezIO®-G4 for additional GbE ports, or MezIO®-D330 for additional isolated DIO.
  2. Connect the module to the 1x MezIO® expansion port on the Nuvo-11160GC.
  3. Note that the MezIO®-G4P (PoE+ ports) module is only supported on the Nuvo-11160GC-PoE and Nuvo-11160GC-PoE-10G models.
Mount the Unit with the Optional Damping Bracket
  1. By default, mount the Nuvo-11160GC using the standard wall-mount option.
  2. For applications requiring vibration/shock resistance per MIL-STD-810H, install the optional damping bracket (Dmpbr-Nuvo9160, which is compatible with Nuvo-11160GC).
