The UNO-137 provides:

  • 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN (RJ45)
  • 2 x RS-232/422/485 isolated serial ports (terminal block)
  • 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 1 x USB 2.0 (Type A)
  • 2 x DisplayPort 1.2, up to 4096 x 2306 @ 60 Hz
  • 8 x isolated digital input channels and 8 x isolated digital output channels
What are the power input requirements and consumption of the UNO-137?

The UNO-137 accepts 10 ~ 36 VDC power via a 1 x 2-pin terminal block. Typical power consumption is 21W, with a maximum of 47W. When using a USB iDoor module (PCM-24U2U3-BE), maximum power draw rises to 56W, and with a PoE iDoor module (PCM-24R2PE-AE), maximum power draw rises to 77W.

What is the operating temperature range and what certifications does the UNO-137 have?

The UNO-137 operates from -40 to 70 °C (-40 to 158 °F) with 0.7 m/s airflow, and can support -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F) with wide-temperature peripherals such as SSDs and wireless modules. Note that operating temperature with M.2 SSDs must be kept under 60 °C (140 °F). Storage temperature range is -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F). The unit is certified to CE, FCC, UL 61010-2-201, CCC, and BSMI, and is compliant with IEC 61010-1 safety requirements for industrial use. It is also Microsoft Azure IoT Edge and Amazon AWS IoT Greengrass certified, and has an IP40 ingress protection rating.

What storage, RAM, and expansion options does the UNO-137 support?

The UNO-137 has built-in 8 GB DDR3L RAM (1600 MHz, up to 8 GB). Storage options include 1 x 2.5" SSD/HDD (up to 9.5 mm height) and 1 x M.2 B-key 2242 SSD. Expansion options include 1 x full-size mini PCIe slot (PCIe/USB signal), 1 x M.2 (B-key) 2242 slot (SATA signal, or supports a 3042/3052 cellular module via USB signal), and 1 x nano SIM card slot.

What operating systems does the UNO-137 support?

The UNO-137 supports Windows 10 2019 LTSC and AdvLinux (Ubuntu 20.04). Advantech also provides embedded OS images: WIN10LTSC x64 v6.06 B010 for the UNO-137/410 Entry, and AdvLinuxTu V3.2.2 for the UNO series.

What are the dimensions, weight, and mounting method of the UNO-137?

The UNO-137 measures 35 x 105 x 150 mm (1.4 x 4.1 x 5.9 in) and weighs 0.8 kg (1.7 lb) net. It has an aluminum housing and is DIN-rail mounted.

What is the processor and graphics engine in the UNO-137?

The UNO-137 uses an Intel® Atom® E3940 processor running at 1.6 GHz (up to 1.8 GHz), paired with an Intel® HD Graphics engine.

Does the UNO-137 support wireless or cellular connectivity?

The UNO-137 supports cellular connectivity through its M.2 (B-key) 2242 slot, which can accept a 3042/3052 cellular module (USB signal), along with a nano SIM card slot. Optional 5G(Sub-6G)/LTE/WCDMA modules with GNSS (AIW-355DQ series) are available as accessories, along with matching antennas and cables.

Can the UNO-137 be expanded with additional communication or I/O modules?

Yes. The UNO-137 supports an optional second-stack extension kit (UNO-137-ID1EA) that adds 1 x iDoor slot. This slot accepts a wide range of iDoor modules for industrial Fieldbus communication (e.g., CANBus, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Sercos III, POWERLINK), smart digital/analog I/O, wired/wireless communication (Wi-Fi, LTE/GPS, cellular), and core functions (MRAM, CFast, USB dongle slot, USB 3.0, audio).

How-to Guides

Add the second-stack iDoor extension kit
  1. Obtain the UNO-137-ID1EA second-stack extension kit, which provides 1 x iDoor slot and is designed for the UNO-137-E13BA.
  2. Select a compatible iDoor module from the supported list (Industrial Fieldbus, Smart Digital/Analog I/O, iDoor CORE, or Wired/Wireless Communication categories).
  3. Install the extension kit onto the UNO-137 chassis; the assembled unit with the extension kit has dimensions of 35 x 105 x 150 mm.
  4. Note that system operating temperature with most iDoor modules (excluding PoE and USB 3.0 modules) can be maintained at 60 °C/140 °F.
Mount the UNO-137 on a DIN rail
  1. Confirm the mounting method: the UNO-137 uses DIN-rail mounting with an aluminum housing.
  2. Position the unit according to the dimensional drawing (35 x 105 x 150 mm), allowing clearance for front I/O, top I/O, and DisplayPort connectors.
  3. Attach the unit to the DIN rail, ensuring the chassis ground connection is accessible.
Connect a 3042/3052 cellular module and antenna
  1. Install the cellular module (e.g., AIW-355DQ series, 5G/LTE/WCDMA with GNSS) into the M.2 (B-key) 2242 slot, which carries a USB signal for cellular use.
  2. Insert a nano SIM card into the dedicated nano SIM card slot.
  3. Connect the antenna cable (e.g., 1750008569-01 or 1750008879-01) between the module and the reserved antenna hole on the chassis.
  4. Attach the dipole antenna (e.g., 1750009372-01) to complete the connection.
