The UNO-238 is rated for an operating temperature of -20 to 60 °C (-4 to 140 °F) with 0.7 m/s air flow and extended temperature peripherals, and a storage temperature of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F). It carries CE, FCC, UL, CCC, and BSMI certifications.
The UNO-238 includes 32GB of onboard eMMC 5.1 storage and 2 DDR4 2400 SODIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB total. Expansion slots include:
- 1 x M.2 B Key 2280 (SATA or NVMe PCIe x2), shared with expansion
- 1 x M.2 B Key 3042 (for LTE module, USB 2.0 only), shared with storage
- 1 x M.2 E Key 2230 (for WiFi module, supports PCIe and USB 2.0)
A nano SIM slot is also included.
The UNO-238 supports Windows 10 2019 LTSC, Windows 11, and AdvLinux (Ubuntu 18.04).
The UNO-238 measures 150 x 107 x 60 mm (5.91 x 4.22 x 2.36 in) and weighs 1.8 kg (3.9 lb). It ships with a rubber stopper for stand mount and supports an optional DIN-rail mounting kit. Wall mount and stand mount installation scenarios are also documented.
The UNO-238 can be expanded for wireless communication. It has a dedicated M.2 E Key 2230 slot for a WiFi module (supporting PCIe and USB 2.0) and an M.2 B Key 3042 slot for an LTE module (USB 2.0 only), plus a nano SIM slot.
The UNO-238 is available with three processor options: Intel Core i3-8145UE (dual core, up to 3.9 GHz), Intel Core i5-8365UE (quad core, up to 4.1 GHz), and Intel Core i7-8665UE (quad core, up to 4.4 GHz). Each CPU option is offered in both audio and non-audio versions, all with 32GB eMMC storage, 2 x RS-232/422/485, 4 x USB 3.2, and 1 x DP/HDMI display output.
Yes. The UNO-238 includes TPM 2.0 (SLB9670XQ2.0) and a programmable watchdog timer with 255 intervals (1 to 255 seconds).
How-to Guides
- Obtain the optional DIN-rail mounting kit (P/N UNO-200-DMKAE).
- Assemble the DIN-rail bracket to the unit as shown in the Dinrail Assemble Explode diagram.
- Install the assembled unit onto the DIN rail per the Dinrail Install diagram.
Note: the DIN-rail kit is an optional accessory, not included by default.
- Use a 12V DC power source; the recommended adapter is the 60W 12V Adapter (P/N 96PSA-A60W12W7-3).
- Connect the power cable to the lockable (threaded) DC jack on the rear I/O panel.
- Ensure the connector is threaded/locked in place for a reliable connection.
- Select the appropriate regional power cable (US, EU, UK, or Japan/PSE plug) from the optional accessories list if needed.
- The UNO-238 mechanical design is optimized for easy RAM swapping.
- Access the 2 DDR4 2400 SODIMM sockets (supporting up to 32 GB total).
- Apply the thermal pad for the 2nd slot RAM (P/N 1990026184N010) as specified for that slot.
- Select a module from the Suggested Memory List based on required capacity and temperature rating.
- Identify the target M.2 slot: B Key 2280 (SATA or NVMe PCIe x2, shared with expansion), B Key 3042 (LTE module, USB 2.0 only, shared with storage), or E Key 2230 (WiFi module, PCIe/USB 2.0).
- For an M.2 B Key SATA SSD, apply the corresponding thermal pad (P/N 1990036489N010).
- Select a supported SSD from the Suggested M.2 SATA SSD list based on capacity, type, and temperature requirements.
- Insert the module into the appropriate slot, noting that the B Key 2280 and B Key 3042 slots are shared and cannot both be populated for storage and LTE at once.
