Frequently Asked Questions
The MIC-710AIL provides the following interfaces:
- 1 x RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps)
- 1 x HDMI display output (max resolution 3840x2160 @ 60Hz)
- 1 x USB 2.0 (external)
- 1 x USB 3.0 (external)
- 1 x USB 2.0 (internal, via pin header)
- 1 x Micro USB (OTG, external)
- 1 x Nano SIM slot
- 1 x Micro SD card slot
The unit does not have digital I/O (DI/DO).
The MIC-710AIL is powered by a 12-24V power adapter rated 4A-2A, connected via a 2-pin terminal block.
The MIC-710AIL operates from -10 to 60 °C with 0.7 m/s air flow. It is rated for 95% operating humidity at 40 °C (non-condensing) and 3 Grms vibration from 5-500 Hz, random, 1 hr/axis.
The MIC-710AIL is CB, UL, CE, FCC, BSMI, and CCC certified. It does not have RED certification. It is also RoHS compliant (2002/95/EC).
The MIC-710AIL includes 4GB of LPDDR4 memory and 16G of eMMC flash on the module. It also supports:
- 1 x M.2 2280 NVMe slot (PCIe x1, M Key)
- 1 x Full-size MiniPCIe slot (PCIe x1 + USB 2.0)
- 1 x Micro SD card slot
The MIC-710AIL runs Linux Ubuntu 18.04 with JetPack, using a Linux OS with BSP (board support package).
The MIC-710AIL measures 85 x 118 x 45 mm (W x D x H) and weighs 1.2 kg. It supports desktop or DIN rail installation.
The MIC-710AIL is based on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano module, featuring a Quad Core ARM Cortex A57 CPU (max 1.43GHz) and a Maxwell GPU with 128 CUDA cores, delivering up to 472 GFLOPS (FP16) at a max frequency of 921MHz.
There are two ordering options:
- MIC-710AIL-00B1: Jetson Nano module, 4G memory, 16G eMMC, with SD card support
- MIC-710AIL-00B2: Jetson Nano module, 4G memory, 16G eMMC, without SD card support
How-to Guides
- Locate switch SW1 on the MIC-710AIL.
- Set SW1 to
ON(default) to enable the MiniPCIe slot as USB 2.0 + PCIe x1, which disables the M.2 NVMe slot. - Set SW1 to
OFFto enable the MiniPCIe slot as USB 2.0 only, which allows the M.2 NVMe slot to operate as PCIe x1.
Note: the MiniPCIe and M.2 NVMe slots share PCIe x1 bandwidth and cannot both use PCIe simultaneously.
- Attach the mounting brackets (included, 2x) to the unit using the bracket screws (included, 4x) for desktop installation.
- Alternatively, attach the optional DIN RAIL bracket (part number 98R1750020E) for DIN rail mounting.
- Use a 12-24V, 4A-2A power adapter.
- Connect the power adapter to the 2-pin terminal block power connector on the unit.
- Locate the Micro USB port on the back of the unit, labeled
Recovery OTG. - Connect the included Micro USB cable for system recovery to this port and to a host PC.
- Use the appropriate recovery/flashing tool to reflash the system as needed.
