The system accepts a wide-range 8V to 48V DC input via a 3-pin pluggable terminal block, which also supports ignition (IGN) signal input for in-vehicle deployment. There is also a separate 3-pin terminal block for remote control and PWR LED output. Supplying a voltage over 48V will damage the system.
With a 35W CPU, the system operates from -40°C to 70°C with one memory module installed, or -40°C to 60°C with two memory modules installed. With a 65W CPU, operating temperature is limited to -40°C to 50°C (with two memory modules). For sub-zero operation, a wide-temperature HDD or SSD is required. Storage temperature is -40°C to 85°C, and humidity range is 10% to 90% non-condensing.
The system is E-Mark certified, EN 45545-2 certified, and complies with EN 50155 EMC requirements (via EN 50121). It also meets CE/FCC Class A per EN 55032 and EN 55035, and is rated to EN 50155:2017/IEC 61373 Category I, Class B (Body mounted) for both vibration and shock.

All three models share the same core specifications. The difference is in the PoE+ port implementation: Nuvo-9100VTC uses 4x M12 X-coded PoE+ connectors, Nuvo-9104VTC uses 4x RJ45 PoE+ connectors, and Nuvo-9108VTC uses 8x RJ45 PoE+ connectors (4x Gigabit and 4x 2.5GbE).
How-to Guides
- Locate the 3-pin pluggable terminal block on the rear panel, shared for DC power and ignition (IGN) input.
- Connect the car's Battery+ line (12V for sedan, 24V for bus/truck) to V+.
- Connect the car's Battery-/GND line to GND.
- Connect the vehicle's ACC line to IGN.
- Ensure the DC power source and IGN signal share the same ground. The IGN input accepts 8~48VDC; supplying a higher voltage may damage the system.
- Disassemble the system enclosure to access the M.2 2280 slot (you may not need to fully dismantle the system).
- Insert the M.2 NVMe SSD module into the slot at a 45-degree angle.
- Gently press down and secure the module with an M3 P-head screw.
- Remove the thermal pad protector film off the heatsink/support frame for the NVMe SSD.
- Reinstall the system enclosure and panel when done.
- Pull the lever on the 2.5" external hot-swappable slot to swing open the cover.
- With the label side facing upward, insert the SATA connector side of the 2.5" HDD/SSD into the slot first, pushing firmly until fully inserted.
- Push the lever into the slot until it snaps into position.
- Use the key provided in the accessory box to lock the external slot if desired.
- Remove any rubber stands attached to the bottom of the enclosure.
- Take the damping bracket and M4 screws out of the accessory box.
- Fix the damping bracket to the system enclosure using M4 screws.
- Place the system on a flat surface and secure it using M4 screws.
- Install at least two hard drives or SSDs in the system (RAID 0 or RAID 1 requires two drives).
- Press F2 at boot to enter BIOS setup, then go to Advanced > System Agent (SA) Configuration > VMD setup menu.
- Select Enable VMD controller, set it to Enabled, then press F10 to save and reboot.
- On reboot, press F3 to enter the Device Manager configuration utility and select Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
- Select Create RAID Volume, name the volume, choose RAID Level (RAID-0 or RAID-1), select the disks, set stripe size (if RAID-0) and capacity, then select Create Volume.
- Press F10 to save and Esc to exit once the volume is created.
