The PPC-312 EHL supports 1 x DDR4 SDRAM SODIMM at 3200 MHz, up to 32 GB max. Storage options include an optional 2.5" SATA bay (requires bracket module 98R3P300020) and 1 x M.2 slot with M-key for storage, supporting SATA-only 2242 and 2280 form factors.
The PPC-312 EHL supports Microsoft Windows 10 IoT LTSC (64-bit), Windows 11, Linux, and Android.
The unit measures 317 x 246 x 52.7 mm (12.5 x 9.7 x 2.07 in) and weighs 3.16 kg (8.14 lb). It supports VESA 75 x 75 mm mounting holes, and can also be wall mounted, panel mounted, or mounted on an arm or stand using optional accessories.
The unit includes an M.2 2230 E-key slot for a wireless module. An optional PPC-WLAN-D2 module (Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.2, 2T2R, with antenna) is available for this slot.
The PPC-312-RJ60A uses 5-wire resistive touch with 80±5% light transmission and durability greater than 35 million touches in one location. The PPC-312-PJ60A uses projected capacitive multi-touch with 88±2% light transmission and a cover glass hardness greater than 7H.
COM1 is RS-232 only, with Pin 9 configurable via jumper (JP4) as Ring, 5V, or 12V output. COM2 supports RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, selectable through BIOS, and does not support a ring function.
How-to Guides
- Remove the 8 screws on the rear cover, then remove the rear cover.
- Insert the memory card into the corresponding slot on the main board.
- Place the provided thermal pad on top of the memory card and CPU, after removing its protective film.
- Remove the screws on the rear cover and remove the cover.
- Gather the components of the SSD bracket module (requires ordering HDD bracket module 98R3P300020).
- Connect the SATA cable from the accessory box to the SATA HDD module.
- Affix the SATA HDD module to the HDD bracket using the four provided screws.
- Affix the SATA HDD bracket to the main board, secure the SATA power cable, and plug it into the corresponding motherboard connector.
- Ensure the rear cover does not press on the SSD cable when reassembled.
- For a 2280 card: assemble the M.2 2280 card onto the motherboard, then apply the provided thermal pad to the card.
- For a 2242 card: install the pillar from the accessory box onto the motherboard, secure the M.2 2242 card with a screw, then apply a thermal pad (an M.2 2280 pad cut in half can be used).
- Remove the rear cover.
- Assemble the antenna bracket onto the antenna cable.
- Assemble the Wi-Fi card with its thermal pad.
- Reassemble the rear cover and install the antenna.
- Use the 2-pin power connector included in the accessory box.
- Connect the power connector to a 12-30 VDC power line rated for the system's requirements.
- Plug the power cable into the system's power receptacle.
- Ensure the DC source complies with ES1 requirements and is evaluated per IEC/UL 60950-1 and/or IEC/UL 62368-1.
- Use 16 AWG minimum wire for the terminal block, torqued to 4.5 lb-in minimum, with copper conductors only. Installation must be performed by a trained and skilled person.
